The following are three City Ordinances that I believe should be amended. I have provided these proposals so that you may view my positions on certain critical City regulations. Your opinion regarding my proposed amendment's to these ordinance's would be appreciated.
Sec. 11A-52. - Nuisance abatement order:
Code compliance Officer Are not require to supply a notice of a violation before a citations can be issued. Notice should be sever before citations are issued
I propose that a 30 day notice would be fair, (HOA allows 30 days) for an individual that works 6 day a week this would allow 4 day to address the issue, and might lessen some hardship and stress..
Ordinance 19602, R105.2 Exception:
In summary this Ordinance states that you are permitted to build a porch or deck at your home.
Without a permit providing that it does not exceed over 6 inches high:reasoning for the 6 inch restriction is that anything higher could result in you hurting yourself.
Majority of non-brick Homes the entry levels are 2 to 3 times higher. I propose this ordinance be amended to entry level height.
